Toner and Ink FAQ

Ink is liquid and used in inkjet printers, while toner is a fine powder used in laser printers. Toner lasts longer, prints faster, and doesn’t dry out — making it a better choice for high-volume printing.

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) toner is made by the printer brand itself and ensures perfect compatibility, high-quality prints, and reliable performance. Unlike remanufactured or compatible cartridges, you won’t risk voiding your printer warranty or dealing with leaks, clogs, or inconsistent print quality.

We offer OEM toner at steep discounts by giving you the option to buy:

  • Old-style packaging (manufacturers occasionally refresh the box design, but the toner inside is identical)
  • Blemished or damaged boxes (the box might be scuffed or torn, but the toner is sealed and brand new)

Why pay extra for a pretty box that ends up in the trash? The box doesn’t print!

Replace your toner when:

  • Your printer displays a “Low Toner” or “Replace Cartridge” message.
  • You notice faded, streaky, or uneven prints.
  • You’ve hit the estimated page yield (usually listed on the box or product page).

Standard laser printers use four colors: Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow (CMYK). Together, they create all the colors you see on the page.

Page yield is the estimated number of pages a cartridge can print (based on 5% coverage per page). Choosing a high-yield (XL) cartridge can save money if you print frequently.

Absolutely. Combo packs (2x or 4x cartridges) usually offer a lower cost per cartridge and save you the hassle of reordering frequently.

Check your printer model (front panel or inside the printer door) and match it with the product listing on our site. Our listings clearly show compatible models — and our customer support can double-check for you.

Never. Every cartridge we sell is within its usable life and backed by our Hassle-Free Exchange Guarantee.
